Admin dashboard tour
TitanCart adds one TitanCart menu to your WordPress admin, and clicking it opens a full-screen app with its own sidebar. Everything you do to run the store happens inside that app. This tour walks down the sidebar one section at a time so you know where each screen lives; it does not configure anything — the Store setup checklist does that.
1. Opening TitanCart
In wp-admin, look for TitanCart (the cart icon) in the WordPress menu. It needs an administrator account. Click it and the TitanCart app takes over the content area with its own sidebar down the left — that sidebar, not the WordPress one, is what you use from here on. The WordPress menu also lists shortcuts (Dashboard, Sales, Products, Categories, Attributes, Options, Customers, Growth, Shipping, Payment Gateways, Tax Rules, Email Templates, Reports, Import / Export, API & Integrations, Settings); they are deep links into the same app.
Lite and Pro: on a TitanCart Lite store the Pro-only items in this tour are simply not in the sidebar — nothing is locked or greyed out. Items that belong to an extension appear only while that extension is installed and enabled. Each case is marked below.
2. The Dashboard
The first screen is the Dashboard. At the top sit four KPI cards — Total Revenue, Total Orders, Avg Order Value and New Customers — each with its percentage change against the previous period. The period selector switches the whole screen between Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month (the default), Last Month and This Year.
Below the cards the Dashboard is built from widgets:
- Sales Chart — revenue and order trends over the period.
- Popular Products — best sellers by revenue.
- Order Status — a breakdown of orders by their current status.
- Recent Orders — the latest orders.
- Low Stock Alerts — products running low.
- Quick Actions — Add Product, View Orders, Promotions, Customers, Import Data and Settings.
- Revenue Breakdown — discount, shipping and tax totals. Hidden by default.
The Customize button opens a panel where you drag the widgets into the order you prefer and switch any of them off or on. The layout is saved to your own account, so each administrator can arrange their own.
3. Sales
- Orders — every order, with status, customer and total; opens the order detail.
- Returns — return (RMA) requests. Pro, and only while the RMA extension is enabled.
- Revenue Reports — sales reporting. Pro.
- Fulfillment — shipments and what still has to go out.
- Active Carts — carts shoppers have started but not checked out.
4. Products
- Products — the catalogue and the product editor with all its tabs.
- Categories — the category tree shoppers browse.
- Attributes — reusable characteristics such as material or colour, used for filtering and variations.
- Product Filters — which attributes and product fields appear as filters on the storefront.
- Options — add-on choices such as gift wrap or engraving. Pro.
- Product Reviews — the review moderation queue, while Customer Product Reviews is enabled.
Note: Attributes describe a product and drive filters and variations; Options are extra choices a shopper makes at purchase. See Options vs attributes.
5. Customers
- Customers — the customer list and each customer’s profile and order history.
- Administrators — staff accounts with access to the admin.
- Customer Groups — segments such as Wholesale.
6. Vendors
A top-level Vendors item appears only on a store running the Multi-Vendor Marketplace extension: approving sellers, their stores and commission. Without the marketplace it is absent, which is normal.
7. Growth
Growth is where you market the store. The first five rows are Pro features; the rest belong to extensions and appear only while that extension is installed and enabled.
- Promotions — discounts and coupon codes.
- Product Bundles, Email Campaigns, Gift Cards, Loyalty Rewards.
- Subscriptions, Wishlists, Data Feeds, Cart Recovery, SMS Notifications, Affiliates, Tips & Donations, Printful — one row per bundled extension.
- Lotteries — added by the TitanCart Lottery extension, which is sold separately.
8. Storefront
- Pages — the storefront pages TitanCart created at activation (Shop, Cart, Checkout, My Account and the rest) and which WordPress page each one maps to.
- Tags — product tags.
- SEO — titles, meta and URL settings, while the SEO extension is enabled.
- Testimonials and FAQ — the content of those two storefront pages.
- Sitemap — the XML sitemap for search engines.
9. Extensions
- Installed Extensions — the built-in extensions with their toggles and settings gears, and the extension plugins you have installed.
- Updates and Extensions Marketplace — update checks and the marketplace catalogue. Pro: both talk to market.titancart.io, so Lite does not show them.
10. Applications
Agenda and Calendar — simple planning tools for store activity.
11. Settings
Settings opens as a grid of cards, one per area:
- General Settings — the store’s rules, in sub-pages: General, Appearance, Company, Checkout, Order Automation, E-mails, Thumbnails, Security, Logging and Download Agreements.
- Theme Options — the Prism theme’s presets and layout.
- Payment Gateways, Shipping Methods, Tax Rules, Currencies.
- Account & License — your Pro license key. Pro only.
- Order Statuses, Notifications (the customer and administrator e-mails), Customer Fields (what is collected at registration and checkout).
- Import / Export, WooCommerce Migration, Site Backup.
- API & Integrations, Social Login (Google and Facebook sign-in), System Logs, Download Agreements.
- Extensions, Marketplace and Update Center — the same extension screens reached from the sidebar. Update Center is Pro only.
- TitanCart Essentials — appears when the free Essentials bundle is installed.
Troubleshooting
- I do not see the TitanCart menu. The menu needs an administrator account; otherwise confirm the plugin is active under WordPress Plugins.
- A screen loads blank or unstyled. Hard-refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R). If it persists, clear any caching or optimisation plugin and refresh again.
- An item is missing from the sidebar. It is a Pro feature on a Lite store, or an extension that is not installed or not enabled — check Extensions → Installed Extensions.
- The Dashboard shows dashes instead of numbers. There is no data for the selected period yet, or it is still loading. Widen the period or place a test order.
