Product Bundles (“Buy Together”)

A bundle is a “Buy Together” deal — you group several products and offer them at a discount, encouraging shoppers to take the whole set. In TitanCart, bundles are their own entities: you build one, price it per item, and optionally schedule when it runs. This article walks through all three. Product Bundles is a TitanCart Pro feature; it is not included in TitanCart Lite.

1. Turn on Bundles

Product Bundles is a built-in feature controlled by a toggle. Go to Extensions → Installed Extensions and, in the Built-in Extensions card, make sure Product Bundles is Enabled. Once it is on, a Product Bundles item appears under Growth in the sidebar, and a Bundles tab appears in the product editor.

Note: If you don’t see Product Bundles under Growth, it just means the feature is switched off — enable it in Extensions and reload.

2. Create a bundle

Go to Growth → Product Bundles and click Create Bundle. Under Bundle Details give it a Bundle Name (the heading shoppers see, for example “Home Office Starter Kit”) and an optional Description, also shown to customers. The list page shows each bundle’s Items count, Full Price, Bundle Price, Savings and Status at a glance.

3. Add products and set the discount

In the Products section, search for and add the products that make up the bundle — a bundle needs at least two. For each item you set:

  • Quantity — how many of that product are included.
  • Discount — per item: No discount, % off or $ off that product’s price, with the Value beside it.

Because the discount is set per item, you can discount only part of a bundle — for example, give the main product full price but knock 50% off an accessory. TitanCart adds up the items at full price, applies each item’s discount, and the difference is the saving shown to the shopper. The Summary panel (Full Price, Bundle Price, Customer Saves) updates as you edit, so you can see the deal before you save.

Only active products are offered. If a product in a bundle is later disabled or deleted, it simply drops out of the bundle on the storefront and the remaining items are offered at their bundle prices.

Tip: Keep the saving meaningful. The bundle is most persuasive when the Bundle Price is clearly below the combined Full Price — that gap is exactly what the storefront highlights.

4. Schedule and publish

Each bundle has a status (Active or Disabled) and an optional date range:

  • Set status to Active to make it live, or Disabled to hold it back.
  • Set Valid From and/or Valid Until to run the bundle only during a window — handy for seasonal or limited-time deals. Both take a date and time in your store’s time zone. Leave them blank for an always-on bundle.

5. Where bundles appear

An active bundle appears on the product page of every product in it, below the buy area and above Recommended Products. The card shows the bundle name and description, a strip of the products joined by “+” (with the quantity of each and its full price struck through next to the bundle price), the total under Price for all with the saving, and an Add all to cart button. Bundles do not appear on category pages or in the cart.

Clicking Add all to cart adds every product in the bundle in one go, each as its own cart line at its bundle price. The cart, checkout and the order list them as ordinary lines — there is no “bundle” line — and the discount is already in each unit price, so the total simply comes to the Bundle Price. If one product cannot be added (out of stock, for example), the rest still go in and the shopper is told the bundle was partially added.

From a single product’s side, the product editor’s Bundles tab lists every bundle that includes that product with its Full, Bundle and Save figures, lets you Edit or Delete each one, and has its own Create Bundle button — a quick way to build a deal around the product you are already editing.

Troubleshooting

  • I don’t see Product Bundles under Growth. The feature is off — enable Product Bundles under Extensions → Installed Extensions, then reload.
  • My bundle isn’t showing on the storefront. Check that its status is Active and, if you set a date range, that today falls inside it. A blank date range means always-on.
  • The savings looks wrong on the product page. Remember the discount is per item and applies to each unit of that item’s quantity. An item left on No discount contributes its full price.
  • A product in the bundle isn’t on the bundle card. The product is disabled, hidden or deleted. Bundles only offer active products; publish the product and it reappears.
  • Only some of the bundle went into the cart. One product could not be added — usually it is out of stock without pre-orders or backorders allowed. Fix that product’s stock or availability; the shopper can add the rest meanwhile.
  • I can’t see the bundle in the cart. Expected. The products are added as separate lines at their bundle prices; the saving is already in those prices rather than shown as a separate discount line.
